Following the cancellation of the previous dates, it has now been confirmed that the assessments will take place on the 18th and 19th June.

The Council is being assessed for Level 3 of the Local Government Equality Standard. As part of this process the external assessor would like to meet with “Challenge Groups”; to discuss how the Council works with Partners and Communities regarding Equalities, the Engagement processes and participation in Policy development and Service Development.

They are proposing that the Assessor meet with the following groups to get a diverse range of views:

They would like representatives from the disability cluster to meet with the Assessor on 18th June and the meetings would be at half hour intervals 2pm, 2.30 and 3pm at Council House, College Road Doncaster.

Elaine will be available to brief representatives about the Assessment over the next few weeks up to 5th June but will also be attending the next Disability Cluster meeting scheduled for 19th May with information.

Elaine would be grateful if you could let her know if you would like to attend and require any additional needs i.e. transport / Interpreters in order to make the necessary arrangements as soon as possible.
