Aurora Centre - Alison Billups - c/o Chatsfield Suite, Chemotherapy Unit, DRI, Armthorpe Road, Doncaster, DN2 5LT - 01302 381302 - A new unique venture. There is nothing like it in our country. Our aim is to improve self esteem, confidence and equality of life for cancer patients whilst undergoing and recovering from chemo and radiotherapy treatment. The Centre has one part-time beauty therapist who is helped by 15+ 'headstrong' and Red Cross trained volunteers helping to give the patients a make-over. Monday - Friday 9:30am 4:30pm.

Cancer Support Group Doncaster - Janet Ryles - Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Armthorpe Road, Doncaster, DN2 5LT - 01302 381331 - janet.ryles@don-nhs.uk - To enable cancer patients, families, friends, carers and healthcare and other professionals to meet in an informal and friendly setting, for shared experiences, support and encouragement for each other. Meetings held first Wednesday of every month from 6:30 - 8pm in The Boardroom, Gate 4, DRI.

Diabetic Society Doncaster - June Sherridan - 6 Leys Close, Balby, Doncaster, DN4 9HG - 01302 855409 - terry@abel150.freeserve.co.uk - To support and educate people and their carers about diabetes by listening to talks and presentations given by the experts in this field. Meetings held first Tuesday in the month (except August) at Doncaster Royal Infirmary Diabetes and Endocrine Centre 7:30-9:30pm. Anyone with an interest in Diabetes is welcome.
