Club meets fortnightly and provides a variety of activities, ie speakers, table games, visits to local venues, occasional meals etc. Help to raise finance for local charities.

Training to NVQ level II and III and basic skills to those unemployed 6 months and over. Transport to luncheon clubs, day care centres, elderly groups, youth groups, dial-a-ride (shopping, hospital visits etc). Office hours 9am-4pm Monday-Friday. Saturday 9-12 noon.

Direct Payments - It is now possible to get money known as a 'Direct Payment' to pay for the social care services you need, instead of receiving services arranged by a care manager.

Doncaster Communities Live at Home Scheme - Joan Darrand - Bentinck Close, Doncaster, DN1 3ST - 01302 769898, FAX 01302 769898 - To offer a volunteer based befriending service to older people particularly to those who are housebound, isolated or lonely. The Scheme encourages volunteers to befriend older people still living in their own homes who may have become isolated and lonely. In addition a variety of social activities are organised such as weekly coffee mornings, regular pub lunches and sightseeing trips.
