A voluntary organisation providing news and information on audio cassette tapes. Talking Newspaper (items from local printed newspapers) issued fortnightly. Talking Magazine issued every two months. Catalogue tapes of new additions to Doncaster Libraries' Books on Tape issued 6 times per year, on alternate months to Magazine.
This is a FREE service for blind and partially sighted people and those with some incapacity which makes reading difficult.
Tapes are sent to those who are registered blind or registered partially sighted by Royal Mail's free "Articles for the Blind" service. Arrangements are made for those not registered to collect tapes from the Doncaster library of their choice.
Cassette players are loaned free of charge to anyone who does not own a machine on which to play the tapes.
